Hello,

My name is Laurent, I live in Flémalle in Belgium. I speak french and english. I have found yesterday in my loft a very tired white pigeon from Germany but I don't speak german. Could you please help me to know who is the owner of this pigeon? Thanks

Hello Laurent,

I will help you. The pigeon come´s from Castrop-Rauxel. It´s not so far away from Belgium. Castrop-Rauxel to Aachen are about 150 KM. I´ll try to call the owner and announce myself later.

I am sorry for the owner of this pigeon. This pigeon is very tired, so I will feed it untill it is in good condition but if the owner goes out of the hospital, he can always contact me. Thanks a lot for your help.

Ich habe ebenfalls den Vorsitzenden befragt und erfahren,dass du dich bei ihm erkundigt hast.Bei dem Gespräch ist herausgekommen, dass nicht der 8ojährige Züchter, der im Krankenhaus liegt, der Eigentümer ist, sondern der, den ich in meiner gestrigen Antwort angegeben habe.Da du ja so hervorragend englisch sprichst, solltest du der Sache doch noch mal nachgehen, es könnten sonst alle Bemühungen im Sande verlaufen!

Hallo Erhard,

ich werde heute Abend Kontakt zum Eigentümer aufnehmen. Da der Finder nur der englischen und französichen Sprache mächtig ist, bringt es nicht ihm die Telefonnummer des Eigentümers mitzuteilen. Es sein denn der beherrscht ebenfalls eine der aufgeführten Sprachen.

Ist denn der Züchter überhaupt schon informiert, bzw. legt Wert auf eine Rückführung? In der Vereinsführung ist der Vorgang ja jetzt einige Tage bekannt. Na ja, mal abwarten. Ich telefoniere heute Abend und bleibe am Ball.

Ich habe gerade mit Günter Dickes gesprochen. Ihm war von der ganzen Sache noch gar nichts bekannt. Sobald möglich wird er sich mit Laurent in Verbindung setzen.

Thanks for your big help.

Mr Dickes has called me yesterday. He has explained to me he has lost this pigeon on a 400km race 2 years ago! I have understood he plays pigeons in the east. So this pigeon is totaly out of his line.

He said to me this pigeon has been a good racer. So, he will send me the owner card and I will see if this pigeon can give me some good young birds.

I am very surprised to hear this pigeon is lost since so long. I hope Mr Dickes will not believe I have keep this pigeon for those 2 years...

I Know a lot of fancier who don't speak German and who are not able to phone when they get a german pigeon lost in their loft. It could be great if this forum can have a little English part on the forum, but it is only a suggestion.

If somebody from this forum find a belgium pigeon and is not able to communicate with the owner, feel free to contact me and I will try to help you.
